The biggest advantage of buying a system like this is that you no longer need to pick up an AV receiver and speaker system separately. That's good news because getting components for a home-cinema system that work well together is by far the most tedious part of creating your dream AV set-up.
Denon has managed to create not only a comprehensive system, but one that's affordable. The asking price of 500 EUR is, in our opinion, pretty reasonable considering that there are AV receivers out there that cost the same on their own, without any speakers in the box. Mind you, Denon has made its fair share of expensive audio systems in the past, including an 500 EUR soundbar.
The receiver offers four HDMI 1.4a sockets, which should be enough for most people. It's certainly enough to hook up a couple of games consoles, a Sky+HD box and a 3D Blu-ray player. Lossless audio, in the form of Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD MA, are supported, and the company says the system can produce 650W of audio power. Denon also claims the system can breathe new life into MP3s and other lossy audio sources with its 'compressed audio restorer'.
If you're in the market for a surround-sound system that supports 3D, then the DHT-1311XP may very well be of interest to you. If so, you'll find it's available in September from all good places what sell electronic stuff, like t'Internet and that. Keep your eyes peeled for a full review soon.
